Ishizumi Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 4, 2026

In short

Who we are and what we don't do

Ishizumi is made by Nanologics. You don't need an account to use Ishizumi. The app has no ads, analytics, crash-reporting tools or third-party SDKs, and it doesn't track you across other apps or websites. We don't sell, rent or share your personal information. Ishizumi has AI features that use our server; the sections below explain exactly what is sent, who processes it and what is kept.

Where your data is stored

Ishizumi stores your tasks and steps (text, time estimates, order, and when steps were done or skipped), the step size and energy you chose, and your settings (such as timer sound and vibration). This data lives only on your iPhone. There's no iCloud sync, so we can't see it. Data on your iPhone is included in your own device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), which are handled by Apple.

AI features: what is sent, and when

Ishizumi sends content only when you tap one of these:

• Break down (or Break down again): the task you wrote or said, your step size and your current energy. When you break a task down again, the steps you've already done are sent too, so they aren't repeated.

• Split: the step you want to split, with its task's title and up to 6 steps around it.

• Brain dump: the text you wrote or said.

When you speak, your voice is turned into text on the phone and only the text is sent. Your list, completion history and settings are never sent. You can edit, delete or reorder any steps the AI gives you.

Before you use an AI feature for the first time, Ishizumi shows what it will send and asks for your consent; if you don't agree, nothing is sent. Each time you use one, the content travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to our server, which runs on Google Cloud Run in Google's Taiwan region (asia-east1). The server passes it to Anthropic's Claude API and sends the result back to your phone. Each request also carries the app's interface language and the App Store proof described below. Anthropic may process the content outside your country, for example in the United States.

What our server keeps

Our server uses your content only to answer that request and then discards it; it doesn't store your photos or text or write them to its logs. To keep the service working, it keeps only the following:

• A usage code. Each AI request includes the App Store's proof that your Apple Account got the app (an Apple-signed AppTransaction). After checking it, the server turns its transaction ID into a salted hash: a pseudonymous code that can't be traced back to your Apple Account or to you. Only two records are kept under that code: your usage for the day, used for the daily limit and deleted automatically after 2 days; and the number of free AI uses you've had, kept until one year after your last free use and then deleted automatically.

• Purchase proof. Once you've bought the unlock, the app also sends the Apple-signed transaction for that purchase so the server can confirm it. The server checks it and doesn't store it.

• Operational logs without content: which app and feature was used, token counts, cost, the result status and how long it took. We use them to keep costs in check and fix problems.

• Connection logs. As with any website, Google Cloud's request logs record the IP address and user agent (device and system version) of each connection. Google Cloud keeps these logs, and the operational logs above, for 30 days by default.

None of this is linked to your identity, used to track you, or sold to anyone.

How Anthropic (Claude) handles it

Anthropic, the company behind Claude, processes what we send under its commercial terms: it doesn't use it to train its models, and it keeps it only for a limited time to detect abuse and keep the service safe, then deletes it. For details, see Anthropic's privacy policy at https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy and its Privacy Center at https://privacy.anthropic.com.

Turning AI off

In Settings, turn off Use AI breakdowns to withdraw your consent. Ishizumi then sends nothing, and you can still add steps yourself, check them off and use the timer. If you turn it back on, Ishizumi asks for your consent again first.

Sharing and export

Ishizumi never sends your list to anyone. In Settings you can export all tasks as a text file; where that file goes is up to you.

Permissions

Ishizumi only asks for access when a feature needs it. Saying no won't affect anything else, and you can change your mind any time in the iPhone Settings app.

Microphone
Used only when you say a task instead of typing it. Your voice is turned into text on this phone; nothing is recorded to a file or uploaded.
Speech Recognition
Uses iOS on-device speech recognition to turn what you say into text on this iPhone. Only the resulting text is sent to the AI, when you tap Break down.

Other details

No notifications

Ishizumi doesn't ask for notification access. The timer alerts you with a sound or vibration only while Ishizumi is open (you can turn these off in Settings), and the countdown appears as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen, using data that stays on your phone. Ishizumi also doesn't ask for access to the camera, photos, location, contacts or health data.

Siri and Shortcuts

You can ask Siri to break down a task with Ishizumi, ask what your next step is, or start your next step. Breaking down a task opens Ishizumi, and nothing goes to the AI until you tap Break down. Asking for your next step needs your iPhone to be unlocked. What you say to Siri is handled by Apple under its privacy policy.

Not medical, legal or investment advice

Ishizumi is a tool for planning tasks. It doesn't give medical, legal or investment advice; for tasks like these, the AI only suggests practical steps such as making a call or gathering documents. If what you write suggests you may need support, the AI doesn't break it down and gives you a gentle note instead.

Purchases, free uses and information from Apple

Ishizumi is free to download. Each Apple Account gets 10 free AI uses; after that, a one-time in-app purchase (non-consumable) unlocks unlimited AI, with no subscription. Features that don't use AI are always free. Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details or Apple Account information. Apple gives developers anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as download counts), and if you've turned on “Share with App Developers” on your device, Apple may also share crash logs that don't identify you. Apple handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Deleting your data

You can delete any task or step in the app, and Settings has Delete all data. Deleting Ishizumi deletes all of its data from your phone. Copies in your device backups are managed by Apple's backup features.

The usage code and counts on our server are deleted automatically on the schedule above. Because the code can't be traced back to you, we can't look up your records by name or email; if you have questions, email support@edgelingo.com. Deleting the app doesn't reset your free AI uses: that count belongs to your Apple Account, not to the phone.

Children's privacy

Ishizumi is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you have any concerns, please email us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the effective date above. If a change affects how your data is handled, we'll also mention it in the app's release notes.
